On the edge of the old city, very close to the Boavista roundabout, it is a special location, full of character, ideal for taking full advantage of the city
The street named after Aires Gouveia, a notable painter, is a vibrant thoroughfare located just behind Santo António, one of the most beautiful monuments in the city. This hospital, designed by the English architect John Carr, adds to the street’s charm. Additionally, it is only a few minutes’ walk away from one of the city’s most breathtaking viewpoints, the Passeio das Virtudes, which offers panoramic views of the Douro River, Clérigos (the epicenter of the city’s vibrant atmosphere as a UNESCO heritage site), and the stunning Victorian garden of the Palácio de Cristal.
BUILDING
The building features classic architecture with unexpected design features that make it stand out
The building features classic architecture with unexpected design features that make it stand out. During the renovation project, both the building and its 250m2 backyard were updated while preserving pre-existing elements such as the typical old facade of yellow tiles and the central wooden staircase topped by the original skylight - key elements of Porto's traditional architecture. The renovation project was carried out with the highest standards in terms of finishes and functionality and introduced a new, contemporary aesthetic language to the interior, featuring straight lines and unexpected spectacular features.
The building now offers ten unique apartments, each with one or two bedrooms, all served by a lift and reception area. Modern facilities such as a garden with a jacuzzi and a greenhouse are also available for residents to enjoy.
